I Need YOUR Help!
Hey folks! So I’m FINALLY back with a new blog post. I’ve been meaning to update the blog sooner, but there were a LOT of things standing in the way. Basically, not only did I rebrand my main channel (WisteriaMoon), but I also had a brand new channel (WisteriaLife) to launch, which brought unanticipated complications. I knew that putting out all this new content would be time consuming, but there’s no doubt that I underestimated the workload. This entire website ordeal sorta got put on the back burner for a bit so that I could focus on YouTube. However, now that things have calmed down with the launches, I want to revitalize this blog and give it some direction.
One of my main problems with the blog has been a simple, yet infuriating question of, “what the heck do I write about”? As I mentioned in my previous post, I haven’t blogged since I was about 13, and blogging is not exactly the trendiest field right now. But after some consideration, I finally decided on a temporary focus. I basically want to transform this blog into a forum type of environment where I write in an off-the-cuff, conversational tone as opposed to a carefully constructed one. There’s no need to get complicated, seeing as I’m not trying to become an author anytime soon.
Now for the content. It’s interesting, because moments before writing this, I was mindlessly wandering about YouTube when I happened to stumble across one of my old videos:
That’s right! A super old tutorial on how to become a successful Animal Jam YouTuber. This took me back to the days where I was a little more invested in the quality of my videos rather than in hitting a high view count. Of course, I still strive to make content that I’m proud of these days, but it’s a bit tricky because YouTube viewers tend to favor less substantial content in mass quantities. As I watched my old tutorial and scrolled through comments made by viewers as recently as this week, I realized that there’s still an audience for tutorials and how-to’s. As a veteran in video editing, marketing, and social media, I’d love to use this blog as an opportunity to share my tips, experience, and advice to those who would like to improve in those fields, or who are just starting out.
So after that drawn-out epiphany, here’s where you guys come in! I recently re-formatted the comment section of this blog to make it more user-friendly, so I would appreciate it IMMENSELY if you could all comment below your thoughts on that, along with a question or topic that you’d like me to write about in the future! I’ll be compiling a list of my favorites and addressing as many as possible in the coming weeks. You can ask me about anything, from how to start a YouTube channel, to what programs you should start with, to computer advice, and anything in between. You can even ask me about stuff pertaining to life in general (after all, this site IS called WisteriaLife). I can offer up my thoughts on surviving through the toughest of struggles - middle school, high school, college, friends - you name it! As a bonus, I'll be selecting 10 of my favorite comments and buddying those individuals, so if you have an Animal Jam account, be sure to include your username somewhere in the comment! The winners will be announced in my next blog post :)
So yeah, I guess that’s about it for today’s blog post, but I’m hoping to post a lot more in the coming weeks, so ASK AWAY FRIENDS! <3
